Its possible for a girl to get pregnant at any stage of the month, before a period, whilst she's having a period, just after a period. No time is guaranteed safe and you should always use protection. The chances are lower at certain times of the month, but womens bodys change all the time, so no time can be ruled out for becoming pregnant.

A woman can get pregnant while having a period, she can have a period of sorts while being pregnant.
She can get pregnant on the pill, or using any other contraceptive. Condoms even recommend to use something with them.
The only way to get a 100% guarantee on not getting pregnant is to not have sex.

Yes it can happen as sperm are able to live inside for up to 5 days. Having said that, it is less likely during your period than at other times of the month BUT still possible so best use protection...periods don't protect against STDS either!
