well people who join the army doesnt have the privilege to stay home unfortunately, but if he can then its great, but if he cant, you have to live with his choices for the time being

He's probably going to be moved around for the entire time that he's in the army. He will go through like 12 weeks of training somewhere (I forget where the army has boot camp, for the navy its illinois) and then he will be sent to another place to be stationed for a few months. Once he is done with his initial training (which may also include some time in school like a month or 2) then yes you can go and move in with him on a base somewhere probably.
