My partner and i have been together for 2years and he has asked me to marry him this is fantastic! the only problem is he's not officially divorced yet, all the paperwork is through apart from the absolute(the official bit that finalises the divorce). Can we legally be engaged whilst my partner is technically still married? thankyou x

Yes its fine to be engaged before the divorce is final as long as you don't start planning your wedding until the decree absolute is in place. However try to be a little sensitive of his ex wife etc.
