Can I move on from him if I see him all the time?

Tagged as: Breaking up, The ex-factor<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (15 July 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 15 July 2008)
A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I recently broke up with my boyfriend, but I am best friends with his roommate. I don't want our breakup to influence my friendship with his roommate, but it is hard to see him all the time. I also work with this guy. I still want to be with him, but I know our relationship won't work unless he changes. When I go over to his place he usually talks to me and it is fine, unless we are hanging out in our group of friends. Then he usually ignores me and acts weird.

Will I be able to move on and get over this guy if I still see him all the time?

A reader, anonymous, writes (15 July 2008):

If you find someone else to focus your attentions on then yes, but thats easier said than done. You can't force yourself to like someone.

It'll also be influenced slightly by the fact hes so involved in your life.

I'd try to ignore his behaviour towards you in a group and with you. Just treat him like hes there, but it might be easier for you to ignore him for a while, so you can get over him.
