I recently started dating this guy he is very nice we has a kissing make out session we have only been on 3 dates so no further but now he tells me he has Genital Herpes. I told him that I was not going to sleep with him and he is ok with that but my question is can I get herpes in my mouth from him ? I asked him this and he said no because he has never had herpes in his mouth . Any advice would help thanks

I have only kissed this guy from what I understand since he didn't have any soars on his mouth I am ok. But I guess you can still get it from indirect contact. I am going to have to break up with this guy just don't know how to do it yet without sounding like a complete bi##h. I know I can't handle this I will freak out too much.

If he has genital herpes (HS-2) then probably not
Oral Herpes (HS-1) is what causes cold sores.

The only way that you would catch herpes is if he had it on his mouth and you would have noticed blisters on his lips. So really there is nothing major to worry about here.

No. I don't think you can. You generally can't get herpes unless you come in contact with an open sore.
