Can an 18 yr old get in trouble for dating a 14 yr old even though they are not having sex?

If my mate goes out with her boyfriend who is now 18 and she is only 14 even though there not having sex or anything like that could he be put in prison ?

Well yes there are people who can find that awful. But don't let that be a problem. As long as your mate doesn't touch her. At 14 years old a person is vulnerable and weak when it comes to sex.

kenny agony auntIm sure he can't get into trouble just for dating her, as long as he does not touch her or carry out anything sexual whatsoever.

I also can't see why an 18 year old man would be interested in a 14 year old. Not that i would have even contemplated it, but thinking back to when i was 18, my mates would have given me hell for dating a 14 year old.

BeckyBadger agony auntNot if the parents say that they are happy with the arrangement, plus he would only be put in jail if someone had called in complaining about it. So I wouldnt worry to much about it, but if you are worried and they are going out then just ask them to keep it at a low public level.
