I have taken two first response tests 5 days apart from each other. Both came out negative. However, after paying closer attention to my body and from previous experiences, I'm thinking I have a bladder infection. I get burning when I urinate and have to urinate at least every 2 hours and sometimes it feels like I have to urinate but hardly anything comes out. I've had these before in my life and it's always these symptoms. My question is this: Can a UTI affect the outcome of a home pregnancy test? Can it make me miss my period? Does planned parenthood offer blood tests because I can't afford to see a normal doctor. I have heard so many different stories and can't find adequate research on it. [Moderator note. UTI - "urinary tract infection"]

I hope you've been to the plannedparenthood.org website to ask this question. I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to it. I believe that plannedparenthood will refer you to a local clinic that should be able to help you.
Good luck!

Not too sure. I know you can get a false negative preg test but not a false positive apparently. And the tests here in the Uk that you buy in the chemists are the same as the ones used by gp's. But whether Cystitis affects the results is a good question. I would try and google it? Because i bet you're not the first person to come up with that queary.
