Tagged as: Dating<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (21 May 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 21 May 2008)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I'm asking this because my girlfriend told me she's not a very affectionate person and maybe never will be.

Is this a cause for concern? I give her plenty of affection and I know she likes me but it's hard to tell sometimes.

Please help

A female reader, Minelisse Puerto Rico +, writes (21 May 2008):

Minelisse agony auntSome people might not be affectionate because they feel threatened or vulnerable by doing so. This does not mean the don't feel the affection. Maybe give her a little more time and try to assure her of your love for her to see what happens.

If it doesn't work you could always look for professional help. Affection is very important in a relationship, but if everything else is going well, I am certain you should be able to work through it and achieve a happy medium.

Good luck.
