reader, anonymous, writes (24 May 2008): It's a strange question! But they would only know if your hymen was there. Not if you were virgin. if there is no hymen, that doesn't mean anything to what you are asking. Is this to do with virgin marriages perhaps? x

Would you consider a Girl whose hymen broke through exercise a non-virgin..?" A gyn can only tell you if your hymen is broken or no " About being virgin, only you can tell.. !!

 My guess is an experienced gyn wouldnt care anyway as he is not there to work out whether you are 'intact' or not but doing a job that is confidential etc. He would never comment on it either way as he will be a professional. I guess you have a gyn exam coming up and are worried he will know you are a virgin. He wont be looking for that and IF he does notice wouldnt think anything of it. BUT as the others have said hymens can be broken long before you have sex. So dont let it worry you as there is nothing wrong with still being a virgin. I would be more worried if I were you and 12 or 13 and not a virgin! x

reader, anonymous, writes (23 May 2008): Couldn't have put it better myself GothPod. I don't know why people got such a hang up with the hymen anyway, you can lose the damn thing falling over or jumping too high.
My mother told me I'd lose mine if I didn't sit properly on the bus. Why do we care anyway, we just trying to prove our worth to our husbands/boyfriends and half the time we can't trust them anyway....
