 An erection gives a very full feeling. If you get a full erection it can ache a little (not intensely) because your penis is straining so hard :)
It feels sensual and sensitive, longing to be touched. And as you get closer to coming it feels very full and ready to burst forth with cum, a very fulfilling feeling.
It should always be handled gently but firmly -- grasping it firmly and pumping it up and down is fine, but no rubbing of the outside skin (feels like chafing). At the moment of coming and after coming it gets sensitive and should be handled very gently.

 Well, the description about "intense pain" seems entirely foreign to me. Mine have always been quite a pleasant feeling. An erection offers me a strong feeling of manhood, particularly when I'm with a woman who appreciates it in one way or another. I know that most women derive pleasure from the feeling of a large, firm erection filling their vagina. As a man, great pleasure is derived from doing the filling and feeling the warmth inside her. Isn't it a wonderful mutual purpose? The way that you, as a woman, can make it feel better is to provide a solution to make it go away. LOL
