Broken up and we still have to see each other

I broke up with my ex boyfriend 2 months ago and we still like each other but I know we're not getting anywhere so I'm trying to move on but It's very hard because we go to the same school, work at the same mall, and attend the same church. I try to leave as soon as I can so I won't have to spend too much time with him. He texts me everyday and I try making small talk but he won't stop texting me. I would talk to him and let him know how I'm feeling but I don't wanna make things awkward between us because we have to keep seeing each other. Idk what to do. He's making it very hard for me to move on. Someone please help!!! :(
