A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hello, i was prescribed microgynon 30 for excessively heavy periods and my doctor recommended I Take this medication without breaks for three months. Since I began my third strip I have experienced brown discharge with mild cramping. My doctor told me about breakthrough bleeding but said it should stop by the third month. The third month was when mine began. I have an appointment with my doctor next week, but was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this? Am I likely to need tests? I am not sexually active at the moment.

hi, i am about to begin taking this medicine and was reading the side effects. It did say that those types of things can happen (discharge / slight loss of blood) so im guessing its nothing to worry about:) good luck x
