Listen, just try a sports bra first.. they don't hurt and give support. If that doesn't work.. well, then you might have to get some help.

honkifuluvnicole agony auntMaybe you should start out with a sports bra, they dont hurt, they are comfortable. After that becomes more comfortable, you can try with regular bra's again. Some people have really sensitive skin or ribs, which isnt good for wearing bras. So try the sports bra, then try again.

bonym agony auntSweetie, get measured by a proper dress fitter at a store. A bra need only be worn when outside, but indoors, i.e. when you are just in the house and sleeping, dont wear a bra ALL day as its important to let your bust breathe as keeping on bras ALL day EVERY day is not a good idea and without me trying to scare you, believe me, dont wear them when not needed. If you have a small bust, you can wear nice cami tops with support integrated into them if a bra is too uncomfortable. xXx

im exactly the same and im 31. i struggled for years just like you. then i tried cropped tops. they are like little cut off vests that stop just below your breasts whilst still offering support. i wouldnt be without mine and have converted most of my friends and even my mum. sloggi make some as do lots of other companies, including sportswear ones. look in your local highstreet or online. you can even get full length vests with secret support bulit in. that just means that they have a built in cropped top. they come in lots of fabrics, including 100% cotton. speak with your mum and ask her to help you find some. im sure she will understand.if you do try bras again when you are older make sure they do not have underwire. good luck.

kellyO agony auntHi,

I had the same problem too before. You see bras are like shoes in a way. No one can really tell u what your size is, u have to feel it on your body and see if it makes u comfortable. Make such it isnt too tight or fit. I'm sure u already know this but just to mention it, the cup size is usually Sizes A, B, C, D. Then the width of yourr chest size are the numbers 30, 32, 34..

Also as u said it could be the makeup of the fabrics that u arent comfortable with. They are different types of soft cotton bras for sale. Some are very soft and wont bruise u i do have soft skin as well. Try the links below perhaps u can find something u like. im not too sure of ur location but this are some sites in the uk u can look at. hope it helps

eyeswideopen agony auntMaybe you could try wearing a camisole with support built in. You can find them in most of the larger stores and chains.

hiddenspace agony auntI would recommend going back to where you got fitted and ask them to re fit you and not leave the store until you have tried a bra that fits. Ask them if you can just sit in it for a while to see if it fits. Also try a few other stores too, see if they have any suggestions.
