writes: my boyfriend fixes things for a living--i dont wanna get too specific..i recently checked the contacts in his phone and saw a girls name(and i actually havent looked in a few weeks and before that it was a long time)..a new girl..which i thought was odd..so i tried to bring it up and ask him directly..casually going through the pics of his phone in front of him and then his contacts and then i asked who is this directly..and he paused for a minute thinking about it and said oh its a so and so customer..you can delete it..i dont need it..it was weeks ago..i dont understand why he could have the girls name in his phone or even place it there..the other thing is..after seeing this girls number--i actually called it from a private number and she sounded really young--even my friend agreed...and my b.f was giving me a story that she is 50 years old etc etc with a son of 19 or so..i did delete it--BUT you know--sometimes the best way to keep things a secret is to keep it out in the open(meaning to show me oh see i have it in my phone, its innocent and he could have the number somewhere else or even memorized....im not sure what to think..both me and my 2 friends says she sounds like 19 or even in their 20's tops..and my b.f told me she is in her 50's...am i being too paranoid here? my one friend says it sounds a bit weird.Another thing is--my friend said is when she called last week from a private number--the girl said tomey? without my friend even saying anything..lets say my b/f's name is tomey because the girl said my b/f's name except i think most people call him tom and i think that just depends on what some would rather say...and my friend called another time saying can i speak to tomey and the girl said tomey or did you say mikey and my friend said tomey and she said he is not here, whos calling..my friend made up a name and then said can you tell him i called..and the girl said well this is my phone..so my friend just ended the convo..it just seems soo weird that its my b/f's name except she is calling him tomey rather than lets say tom..i dont know what to think..i wish i could have just asked were you a customer etc etc and then i would know for sure...help Reply to this Question

 As kay.kay says she could be 50 and sound incredible young on the phone. I sound a lot older on the phone apparently and a lot different from what I do when I'm talking to someone face to face.
Again I agree with Kay.kay you are reading a little bit much in to it. I can see why it may make you think something is going on. If the thoughts continue you will end up becoming paranoid, constantly going through his phone and not beleiving anything he says.
I know that through bitter experience. I found a picture on my boyfriend's phone of a "friend's" girly bits. She knows he has a pregnant girlfriend but still thought it ok to send the picture to him. I believed my partner when he said there was nothing going on and he hadn't known she was going to send it. The fact he hadn't told me he had received it and saved it on his phone hurt the most. For the first few weeks after I constantly wanted to check his phone and I was suspicious everytime he got a text. I still get the odd urge to go through his phone but I don't as he's not doing anything at the moment to make me suspicious.
If he does something else or you find something else that makes you think something going on then definetly quiz him and find out if he up to stuff! But for now I'd relax and try to put this out of your mind and enjoy your relationship with him!
