 Whatever you do, as long as you try, I am sure that her 3 year old will enjoy it. Children at that age are almost too easily amused with anything and everything around them.
I assume the child will constantly ask questions. Indulge it and see how easily you can make the child laugh. Do not panic and just relax. You are there with the child's mother, so you have no need to worry. She will help you if you are unsure.
