Go see a doctor if your back continues to bother you and you can always ask him/her for a pregnancy test while you're at it, just to be sure. Or get one at your local drugstore if you're really concerned and want to know right away.

The reason we have periods every month is to shed the endometrial cells that would make a fetus happy in the uterus. That's why pregnant women don't have periods.
