 tell him. I compleatly understand your hesitation because of him being a freind but it'll be fine you wont ruine the freindship. if he says he doesnt feel the same way then you will have to cope with it but things should go back to normal between you after a short time. to tell him just be honest just go talk to him and tell him how you feelgood luck wif every thing

 hey,im pretty sure you should tell him.lots of people use the whole 'i dont want to ruin the friendship' excuse.yes your friendship is very improtant but how else would you know if there could ever be more to it than just friendship? its better to tell him, let him know excatly how u feel. u said yourself u think he has similar feelings.nothing is 100% sure, those are risks u just have to take.and if being with him means so much to you,it'll be more than worth the risk.if u tell him n he dosent feelt he same way,as much of a bummer as that may be,at least now u know for sure,and eventually u can move on and find someone who will return ur feelings and if he does.then it'll all work in your favour.but you'll never know until u tell him.
