Bf is changing for the better because of me... will it last?

So I know how dangerous it is to try to change someone, but will it still end up going wrong if they CHOOSE to change from knowing you? I'm told the guy I like has become a much better person in many ways since meeting me. I'm worried the changes he's made in his life will be short lived.
