Sometimes we make bad choices because we feel we don't deserve better. We need to learn to respect ourselves enough to expect more from the people we choose! And if someone is disrespecting you it could be that you are giving off the impression of low self-esteem and self-respect.
Don't be so hard on yourself! The voice in your head is telling you that you don't deserve better...but you do! And when you begin to believe that, so will others! Stay away from people who treat you badly! Believe in Yourself!

Go and find someone who isn't so shallow that the only thing that matters to him is outward appearances. I must say though, I'm a bit perplexed as to why the fact that you have good taste in jewellery has anything to do with this?

Sounds like the guy is so shallow he couldn't drown a kitten.
He may have a pretty face but if he's an arse then why waste your time thinking about him?
Good Luck!! xx

If you're worried about your taste in guys then why worry if he likes you? A bit of a contradiction there, huh?
My advice: Be who you are, 'cause you couldn't really be anyone else. If he likes you, he likes you. It will show sooner or later. If he does mistreat you though, just stay away from him. Why would you want to be with someone that will not even acknowledge your existence?
