I usually just breath through my mouth but I would prefer my nose (its just easier that way). Anywho, it still smells after a shower, after cloths are washed and I am puzzled to why this is. Is that just his natural smell and there is no changing that? Do I just have to suck it up?Thanks to anyone who answers.

It could be something simple like Balantitis. That is a hygiene problem that can arise from taking antibiotics or simply not washing down there everyday.I am not a Doctor so I agree he should go and see one and get it ruled out and put both your minds to rest.

Some guys just smell a little musky down there.
If he still has his foreskin, he needs to completely pull it back and wash wash wash under it.
If he's circumcised (as most American lads are), then he needs to see his family doctor. Usually, a bad smell is a sign of some sort of infection. It's probably not an STD, as you would most likely be seeing visible symptoms, but I would still refrain from oral or unprotected sex (personally, any sex) until he gets checked out.

I have already told him about it. So he already knows.
It has been this way for, maybe a month or so. Is it possible for these things to last so long without resolving themselves?

You both need to go to the doctor's office and get some antibiotics. If this is something that you are afraid to talk to him about because you do not want to hurt his feelings, then you go first and tell him that you noticed a smell or discharge coming from you and that the doctor said he needed to be seen also so that you do not keep giving it back and forth to one another. Again, it is not an STD and it is no big deal, but you do want to get it taken care of one way or another since it is obviously not enjoyable and is interfering with your sex life.
