B/f lied to me about the circumstances of him receiving oral sex

Question - (30 December 2011) 5 Answers - (Newest, 4 January 2012)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi :) my question is quite complex so I'm just going to ask it. I have been with my boyfriend for Eleven months, he told me that he had received oral sex once before and said it was on holiday. However last night he told me that he lied and it was not on holiday but with a girl he used to go out with. I never knew he went out with this girl and neither does anyone else. He said he lied because he felt embarrassed of this girl. Should I be upset he didn't tell me before? How would you react? Thanks for any answers :)

That's good, that is exactly how I think it should be, some people get issues over things they can't change but I think it shows his commitment to you. Best of luck for your relationship in 2012 xxx

If it was before your time, you shouldn't let it change your relationship at all.

No I wouldn't be too upset, maybe at the start of your relationship he didn't know how long you would stay together and now he feels comfortable enough and trusts you enough to tell you this information. It is in the past anyway so doesn't have any effect on your relationship now. Just let it go and carry in enjoying the relationship you have together now and feel happy that he confided in you x
