I just... feel some sort of chemistry (personality-wise, not like we're communicating or getting along, b/c that'd be major mental) w/the character, like her looks, personality, etc. What I'm wondering is if this is normal, and if it's okay to just kind of indulge the crush I have on the character as a fantasy. I'm definitely not thinking that this is pursuable or anything, I just kind of have an attraction to the character.

That reminds of when I used to have a crush on MacGyver:).
Dream on, there's nothing wrong about it. As long as it does not prevent you from functioning normally in daily life, and does not keep you from getting interested in real people, of course.

Most characters though fictional are based on human elements lol i think everyone has a fictional character crush i admit mine was princess jasmine ive come to terms with the fact no real woman could take her place.
dont let it get you down characters are great fantasy fodder but dont let it stop you from meeting a real girl she may not have chun lis smile or rebecca valintines lips but real women need love too.

I believe guys the world over were drooling over the PC game character Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) so umm, no, I don't suppose it is abnormal at all, ... tho if we are talking about Snow White or something it might be a little harder to wrap my head around, .. but hey, why not.
Then again, I go grrrr over Vampire characters myself lol.
