A female , anonymous writes:

I'm in love with my ex, but he's a different person now we're apart, so i'm pretty much in love with someone who doesn't exist. I can't seem to get over him, even though I know there's nothing I can do.

A female reader, Tine United Kingdom +, writes (8 November 2006):

Tine agony aunthunny, you need to sit down and think about this! This guy is your ex, what were the conditions that you both broke up?? you feel that he is a different person to what he was whenever he went out with you so i dare say that you are a different person too from when you both went out together, everybody changes. He is your ex for a reason - if oyu both fell out because of things that he did then do you really want to have to go through with all that again? Would you not rather move on with your life and go out and meet someone new and start a complete fresh and exciting relationship? Fair enough you cant get him out of your head and thats completely understandable but do you really think that getting him back will solve all your problems. If you do then ask him out again
