Are we together or not? So confused!!

I have been with this guy for about 4mnths. We have had sex go out together but I don't know if he really likes me. He always checks in tells me where he is and during sex the last time he tried holding my hand but I pulled away because he has not said if were boyfriend or girlfriend. My friends says he cares for me but I'm not sure? He said the other day he "Loved being with me" and that I'm so sweet.We talk quite a bit text and e-mail but no talk about feelings yet is it to soon to ask and do guys do all of these things just keep girls around I'm so confused? He is on vacation with family so I text him to see if he would respond and he did with in 5min saying he wish he could see me! Is he into me or not?
