Are they just being friendly? Or could there be more?

I work as a part time cashier in a little shop. There's a new guy that works there and a few other guys I have served who seem rather nice. They are all similar ages to me and most of the time we 'meet', we have a good chat (even though it's short)! The problem is I'm not sure if they are just being themselves (friendly, etc) or they're interested in me or something else... Right now, I am being my friendly self but cautious at the same time. It spices up my work day but I'm just not sure how to 'think' about it all... Please help.
