writes:Ok right i really liked this lad and i thought he liked me back but although he did show it when he was asked he said he didn't like me in that way, well he wasn't necessarily asked outright just afew of our friends(on seperate occasions) were talking to him, yeah aiming to find out but never got round to asking him outright because he said he didn't before they had chance. Now after this they told him that i liked him and he just said he won't go out with me because he wants to stay single. But still he still denys liking me and says that he doesn't even though stuff has happened in the past that would suggets otherwise so now i'm thinking maybe i read the signs worng. But please tell me are these things signs a guy likes you or is it just me thats taken it all the wrong way?So here they are:-eye contact(yeah he makes this when talking to anyone but making dep eye contact when just looking at you)-always looking in my direction and seems to be staring at me a lot(sometimes he looks away when i look at him othertimes he holds the eye contact)-people hint stuff and have accused me of liking him but then again that could be that they have noticed i like him and has nothing to do with him what so ever-For some reason he wont talk to me much anymore although we havent aways spoken alot anyway(that isn't a sign just something to consider)-people have been pointing out thing i do to him like if i laugh at something he says-a friend of his came to talk to him and someone sitting with us sorta tried to say something about me and this lad to this girl(not using words but moving his head n eyes from one of us to the other) and then afew days later she asked him soemthing quietly and he pointed to me, since then she strted talking to me more and then just randomly said to me she always thought i liked him but says she never knew anything she just wondered(shes one of them who was talking to him and he said he doesnt like me in that way)-Since he found out i like him i moved seats in one of the classes(not cuz of him) and he seems to look over to where im sitting more wereas i used to be opposite him and he used to look at me alot then-also when i had to move to the other end of the table he started looking over instead of where i was sitting which shows surely he cudnt have just been looking in tat direction and i was in the way?anyway yeah so are they signs or not or have i just read it wrong? reader, anonymous, writes (13 July 2008): I think he does but going by what you said in the first paragraph, maybe talking to him about it wouldn't be the wisest move. You've obviously already been through that stage and he's not having any of it.
Just pull him aside, tell him you like him and that you think he does to but if he doesn't want a relationship thats his choice.
You could do that obviously, or you could just drop it?!
Your choice really.
