Fancy yourself as an agony aunt? Add your answer to this question! A
reader, anonymous, writes (8 October 2007): Cialis is longer lasting than viagra with less side effects. It is more selective for the blood vessels that keep your erection "hard" than viagra, which tends to open vessels throughout the body, hence the facial flushing and headaches it causes.
Try researching it on google. As little as 5mg may be all you need. Your doc should be able to advise.

It works, but can have some not too pleasant side effects that don't last for too long, like a feeling your head is about to explode, feeling 'flushed' and difficulty swallowing food. Its effectiveness is relatively short-lived, perhaps 24-48 hours at most depending on the dose (they come in 25, 50 amd 100mg tabs), but they will NOT work 'on their own' - there still has to be some sexual stimulation too! I can guarantee that once it's up it will stay up, he'll wonder how to get rid of it, and if he were to try the 100mg, you'd better clear your diary for the weekend and send the kids away to Grandma's place.
If your boyfriend has low blood pressure they're not a good idea because they were originally designed to lower blood pressure. The men (in Wales apparently) who tested them found some pretty interesting side effects!
Alternatives are Cialis, which according to the manufacturers last for up to 36 hours, but in reality it's more like 3 days. These come in 10mg and 20mg tabs and have the same side effect but without the flushing, and Levitra, which Stirling Moss apparently uses, and which I know nothing about. Another alternative which will make his eyes water is a penile injection before sex. Bugger that!!
There are no effective herbal remedies that I know of, and neither does my GP.
