We've planned a night away tonight seeing as we haven't been able to get any private time the past few weeks, but I woke up this morning and I have my period. I've checked with the hotel and if we cancel today we lose our money, and we've both been really looking forward to this. I know it's a ridiculous question, but I'm feeling pretty desperate; Are there any natural ways I can make my period any lighter for tonight?

Use a tampon. Take it out when he puts the condom on, it should be fine then for about 30 min. Depends on how heavy your period is, but mine is heavy at the start, and it works for me. I still get aroused and wet even if there is a tampon there (dont ask me how it works, it just does).

Try a disposable menstrual cup. You can have sex with them in, but it won't be "messy." You can leave them in for 12 hours at a time. Things like Diva cup won't work because they sit low, but things like Instead Softcups sit much higher and don't interfere with sex.

If the reservation was made for later you could have perhaps sold your vouchers/holiday but now it would be too short notice. If you're on birth control pills you can skip the placebo pills and move on to the next pack, though from what I know it's not recommendable to do this trick often.
How about you just go with the flow, in lack of other options. You can still have a lot of 'fun' even while you have your period, maybe not intercourse - as that can cause problems, irritations, etc, but you can still play a lot of other 'games': fingering, caressing, etc, you can give him quite a nice 'treatment' and vice versa.
On top you might find that relaxing and focusing on something... pleasurable can (hopefully) relieve the cramps that some women have during this time. Candles, nice songs, lots of possibilities. Best of luck!
