A male France age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hi all

ok heres the problem, i have a lot of stretch marks. actually they are alot but the worst ones are on my back, stomach and sides of my upper body. i also got very light skin which makes em look worse.

And i heard u cant get rid of these, even if u can make em "disappear". Even when "laser something" make em disappear, they are still going to feel as terrible as they do now right? So since i gotta deal with em for the rest of my life, i gotta learn how big of a turn off are them. and be honest pls.

i also am a little over-wieght, (i got these marks during gaining this weight) should i lose them b4 i do the laser thing?

and excuse my english pls

A female reader, anonymous, writes (7 February 2010):

Lots of men have stretch marks...its not just women who get them. Yes lose some weight before you do anything else. This will stop the stretch marks from growing even more. They do fade over time. And ive not been turned off by them. My boyfriend has them all up his back where he grew so fast when he was a teenager. They dont bother him or me.

Not My Name agony auntHaving light skin will actually go in your favor in the long run (if you don;t keep putting on more weight) as they tend to fade to a silvery white color which will not be so noticeable on light skin.

In the mean time, there are some creams and oils (Bio Oil) which will help speed up that process. You may decide in the end that laser is hardly worth it.

Griffo agony auntNon, there not that bad, as a male (for some reason) you have a little more to get away with. For some reason women are far more self concious of these things, they are people of beauty. Infact you would be the second man I've ever spoken to about this. Nontheless, if a woman reads this I don't think its that bad at all anyway

Just eat healthy and excersize everyday.
