It sounds to me like your ex is making the most of the fact that he's single and unencumbered (to which I say, good for him). In fact this doesn't sound gay at all to me; it sounds more like two guys doing the freewheeling things they always wanted to do.
Maybe you're reading too much into this and caring a bit too much. Leave them to it and get out and do something interesting for YOU.

Yes. They may just be best friends. Or they may be gay. If he is your ex, what business is it of yours? Ignor him. Get on with YOUR life.
