I posted a question yesterday about this girl I like who piked at the last minute when we were going to meet. http://www.dearcupid.org/question/should-i-keep-trying-or-should-i-leave.htmlWell last night she msged me saying that the real reason she didn't want to see me, was because she had spots on her mouth, which she thinks could be herpes. She said she couldn't let me see her looking like that. At first I was thinking what does this mean like what did she do to get them. But then I thought about it, and well oral herpes is just cold sores, and I remember kids having them in primary school. My question is, are they really a big deal, and if i really like someone, i shouldn't let something like this bother me, should I?

There unattractive but no reason not to see someone although they are contagious if you kiss someone (or they come into contact with any other part of the body if you get what i mean) just tell her it doesnt bother you or sort something out for another day.

Cold sores arent really a big deal, i mean they're not life threatening! but they dont look pretty so i can definitely understand why she bailed on a date because she had one. I would do the same. So to answer the question, no you shouldnt let it bother you because its not a big deal and will have gone in a few days, but its a big deal for a girl to have something like that on her face if she's meeting a boy she likes. i'm sure you can reschedule for a few days and it'll go ahead without a problem
