reader, anonymous, writes (28 April 2011): No doctor in their right mind will perform an amniscentesis just to find out who the baby's father is. The risks involved are not worth it. You will just have to wait untill the baby is born as there is no non-ivasive way to find out during pregnancy.

You can get amniocentisis. This is where they insert a long needle through your bump into your pelvis to get tissue samples from your amniotic fluid, from which dna information can be found.
This is, however, a painful and risky procedure which should only be undertaken to check for birth defects and gentic conditions. If a serious condition is found, the woman is given an option of termination of pregnancy.
I would never do this for paternal testing, it is a stressful procedure for mum and baby and there is a chance of msscarriage.
Hang on until baby is born.

Hi yep there is....you can ask your doctor about an amniocentheis...it is when they take amniotic fluid from your tummy and test it...they can test for all sorts of things from that fluid...ask him....he will let you know

I'm pretty sure there are ways, but it would be best to consult your doctor about this. They can test all sorts of genetic information in utero, so I don't see why this would be any different.
