Memorising small chunks and working very hard in short bursts of ten minutes or so. Another good idea is to try and picture any descriptions or any words as this will help trigger the sub-concious memory into position which tends to memorise with more security. Little by little as often as you can.Maybe writing down each line a sentence at a time would be more beneficial. A few years ago I had to suddenly learn french and done it this way. I was very suprised at the speed it progressed this way.I hope this has helped a little.Best of luck for the play.

You have almost a week. You can even stick on the walls different parts of the scenario and admire the "tapestry" daily, it helped me... Also, don't panik because it doesn't have to be perfect in order to be "liked", you can't be Kevin Costner right from the start. To identify the characters better and "live" them better you can compare them with real persons... And why not, ask a colleague to help you with preparing your part. Also imagine the audience while repeating the lines...
Maybe the others are more inspired. Good luck!

Some like to look through a section at a time before covering it up and writing it out, doing it section by section while some others learn all of it before testing themselves. It's up to you how you learn your lines. Find a way which suits you most.
