Any suggestions about how to lose 10lbs?

I'm 19, I just had my first child last month (whom, last week, I gave up for open adoption to an extremely loving couple that I very much trust), and now I'm stuck with all of this baby weight. I used to be a pretty petite girl: 5'4.75" and 111 lbs. Now I'm 5'4.75" and 127 lbs. I know I'm not particularly 'fat' by health definition, but for me, it's a few pounds too much. I really just want to lose 10 lbs by the start of the Fall semester of my sophomore year of college - which is August 21st. Anyone have suggestions as to how I can accomplish this?

When you go to the grocery store.. shop on the outside.. the inner isles are junk.

Eat greens. Lots of it. Spinach is a super food. It is low in calories. A medium french fry from chicfila is (370 cals) that is equivalent to 6.1 cans of spinach.

1 can of green beans has 70 calories

1 can of asparagus has 70 calories

1 can of spinach has 60 (not the best tasting)

brown rice

Cooked beans. Black. Pinto.

Frozen veggies are great. Especially the broccoli and cheese.

Look at the calories and servings.

Like junk food? Chips? Get the low low calories chips. They are 75 calories a serving. Perfect!

Like fast food? Bojangles, ham biscuit and a water = 270 cals.

Chicken & Fish. ~ Very Low calories

Try to eat 3 or 4 200-400 calorie meals. with light healthy snacks.

I use digital scales and weight everything. I currently eat between 800-1400 calories a day. I started my diet on June 1st. I've lost 8 lbs already.

When I drink...

Jack and Diet coke = 65 cals

1 beer = about 100 cals (nope...)

The real trick is this. It's simple math... 3,500 calories in a pound of fat.

I'm 160 lbs. I probably expend (1800) calories a day. If I do 30 mins on the treadmill I burn about (250-300) cals. If I do the stationary bike for an hour I burn about (400) calories.

Food-1,200 cals

Daily-1,800

Treadmil (30 mins)-250

=(850) Calories Burned

I mix it up. Bike. Treadmil.

Some days I walk. Some days I run hard and sprint. Some days I jog.

DIET & CARDIO is the key!
