Cut out the burgers, bring in lots of fruit and porridge.
Do some sit ups and body twists. Don't go crazy though as you'll be in too much pain to go on holiday if you pull something.
You can do it when at work / school too. Just pull your stomach muscles in, hold for 5 seconds, and then let go. Do that a few times. Little and often is the key.
The last thing you can do to improve your stomach is to stand up straight. Posture is 9 tenths of looking good.

reader, anonymous, writes (23 August 2008): Sit ups. Try 10 at first and gradually increase the number until you can manage, say, 50 or so. Do that once or twice a day and you'll soon tone it up.
