*quote* sof* well if your not sexually active i would go with condoms! what that is terrible she should protect herself at all times condoms are not that reliable and can burst so her chances are much worse than if she was on the pill or implant! some people wish for the implant or pills because they have heavy or irregular bleeds and the pill or implant can help to regulate them . not to mention it never hurts to check up on your history for when she is legal age and ready to.

Well if you're not sexually active I don't think it's of any use. I'd go with only condoms for the moment... And make sure your parents know about it too!

this is my second implant. its not really sore to get it at all you get numbed first then they insert it which is slightly uncomfortable but nothing to complain at i think giving blood is worse lol. after two weeks you completely forget its their. however their are side effects such as loss of period or having none at all or you could become heavy and bleed more than you do. its one of those things you would have to try it before knowing the outcome i myself was very lucky and maybe only get a period ever 4 months dont get me wrong the mood swings are still their sometimes lol damn shame. i think its quite good you feel safe and it is alot safer than the pill. however i will have had it for just under 10 years and it will be my last best to give yourself a change. so if you do decide to go with it i would advise stopping before the 10 year mark and changing to something else for a while give your body some normality. however even if you do decide to have sex i would also advise using condoms for such things as stds as condoms is the best prevention. im extremely forgetful when it comes to pills so that is the reason i got it and it was more safer than the pill the % was higher. hope that helps aphex xx
