reader, anonymous, writes (28 December 2011): I understand that others have hurt you and betrayed your trust in the past, but it wasn't her that did that to you. I know how hard it is to trust people when you ahve been screwed over so many times by other people, I have been there myself, but if she hasn;t given you a reason to not trust her, then trust her. People who cheat do not tell their partner that someone else has feelings for them, because they want to hide what they are doing! So by her telling you, she is being honest with you and that is a good thing. Talk to her and tell her you want her to make sure that this man knows there is no chance of anything happening between them ever. She isn;t to blame to for how other people feel, only for her actions and from the sound of it, she is not doing anything. She loves you and is being honest with you, give her credit for that and don't punish her for what other people have done to you in the past. I know how hard that is, but it is the best thing to do.
