Am I taking our friendship too seriously?

Tagged as: Friends<< Previous question   Next question >>
Question - (29 April 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 30 April 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

This girl and I are good friends but lately things have slipped. I have known her for about a year and since she was able to drive, we have been able to meet more often up til recently, due to busy plans on both sides. Despite this, we chat online although in the past few weeks, our conversations went from fun to dull but I'm not sure why... When I discuss this with her, she says that it's harder to chat online so she becomes quiet although I don't think this is the case. Am I right to be annoyed and taking friends too seriously? Or am I boring her or something? Please help.

A female reader, anonymous, writes (30 April 2009):

how often are you chatting online? if its each night when your apart then it is bound to get a bit repetitive and seem duller.

If its just the occasional chat then ask her how she feels.

I have a sneaky feeling though that chatting online is not enough for her now, maybe she is wishing instead that it was in person.

Sallyanne. agony auntHeya ... i dont think your taking it too seriously tbh , girls will have petty lil rows all the time and bitch and have fights but i think with close friends its different your friend may be acting like this with everyone she may have important things on her mind , or troubel at home , i dont think your rong to feel the way you do buh instead of starting an angument with her maybe you should just talk to her find out if anything is roong with her and find out why she acting the way she is x
