writes:I am two weeks late. i should have gotten my period on the first of Aug. and now its the 16.i have been having dull cramping and i keep thinking that my period is coming but it hasnt. i dont have any other symptoms of pregnancy though....i stopped the pill 2 months ago but i got my period last month so im not sure if this is the cause of that. any ideas???thank you.

reader, anonymous, writes (16 August 2008): Can I assume that because you stopped taking the pill 2 months ago you actually wanted to get pregnant? If that's the case, it doesn't matter much whether you know if you're pregnant or not. Just let nature take its course and if you are, it will be plain to see within about 3 months!

 You should go to the chemist and obtain a pregnancy test kit, and do it as soon as possible. If anything it will give you peace of mind and you will feel better for doing so as you will know where you are.

 have you been having unprotected sex since you stopped the pill? and after stopping the pill it can affect your periods till it sorts itself..if in doubt go to your gp and get a free test.. good luck aphex xx
