You should put your mind at ease as your b/f has spoken positively about it.
Sometimes , those test may only detect it on the 2nd week.If you need a quick result, you could go to the doctor for a pregnancy test. They use the blood test and it is more sensitive.

mattie90 is verified as being by the original poster of the questionI took 1 of the pregnancy tests 4 days before my period started and 4 days after my period was supposed to start. There are days where ill stop spotting and then continue the next day. I want to be pregnant but im very worried that it will cause problems between my boyfriend and i. He has said he wont leave me if i do turn up pregnant he will do everything in his power to make sure this baby is well taken care of. I am supposed to be on my 5th day of my period but just spotting.

If you have taken those pregnancy tests before your period,it would most probably come up negative as they not sensitive enough to detect the presence of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) in your urine.
If you’re not sure when your next period is due, you can do a pregnancy test 21 days (three weeks) after you last had unprotected sex.

It is a high probability that you are pregnant because you were not protected when you missed taking those pills.
Pregnancy symptoms may differ from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy; however, one of the most significant pregnancy symptoms is a delayed or missed menstrual cycle.
Since your period is 6 days away , you will need to see if it comes on or you will have a missed period. You can then take a pregnancy test to confirm if you are pregnant.
You can also know if you are pregnant or not by going to the doctors who can then let you know the results.
The doctor's pregnancy test are more highly accurate and they can know a few days before your supposed period day.
