I recently became sexually active with my boyfriend and the other night while we were having sex (December 27th, 2008) the condom popped. We must have switched positions several times and I think the way we were doing it made the condom pop. He did not ejaculate and I don't believe he was even entirely in me. Nevertheless, the minute we heard the pop we sopped. The next day around 1 pm I took the morning after pill, Plan B, just be on the safe side and took the second dose at 1 am. It is January 1st, 2009 and I have not spotted or anything but I'm feeling extremely moody. I also get nauseous a lot. I don't know if this is still from the Plan B or if this is just because all i can think about is "god forbid i get pregnant." Am i making myself sick? Should I have started spotting?

So technically, my regular period should be coming around January 16 which seems like a lifetime away! I figured condoms are extremely tough and that shouldn't have happened. I told my mom a few weeks ago that I wanted to be put on the pill because I was considering sex so I'm supposed to be going to the doctor about it soon. I want to tell her about us having sex but I fear she will be disappointed because she would think "wow, you couldn't wait for me to put you on the pill!" Truly, this is all i can think about and all of my girlfriends are telling me to relax because I was extremely safe with the morning after pill. Your answer put me somewhat at ease. Thank you.

The morning after pill is basically a huge bundle of hormones that goes through your body destroying your natural processes and stopping anything down there from working normally.
This means that it is entirely normal for your periods to be affected by it.
Periods can also be delayed by stress so it's no wonder you are a bit late coming on.
Go to a movie and try hard to forget about it for a couple of hours. Chill out and have a pamper session, what ever it takes just to chill out.
Keep telling yourself that at this point there is not a lot you can do so there is no point getting yourself in a state about it.
If nothing happens in a few days then take a pregnancy test and work out your options from there.
Are you sure you put the condom on right? They are pretty tough normally. Make sure you've read the instructions and squeeze the air out of the end of it. Also you should consider going on the pill as well as using condoms to be doubly safe.
Good Luck!! xx
