He always bragged about his childhood when he was back in his country when they vacationed in these nice resorts and on christmas his dad would send them money from ny and they got 3k each to spend at the big toy store. His 15 yr old sister got like a 500 dollar cell plus 1k for her birthday. They all have a computer and its 5 of them!! They live in the middle of manhatten rent free! His dad doesn't have to pay for water, utities, nothing!! Plus he earns like over 800 dollars a week plus he does side jobs in construction which is more money! So this is what pisses me off recently he told me they are on government assistance aka foodstamps nd medicaid nd I was like wtf are u serious. For some strange reason it pissed me off. And it really makes me not like him bc he told me his dad has credit card bills to pay off bc he never says no to him or his brother nd sis. And I'm like the govt assistence isn't for him to catch up on his credit card bills to spoil his brats. I'm on govt assistance bc I need it I'm a single mother with a low paying job while I'm studying on my bachelor degree to better my life and get off this. Ppl on govt assistance don't have 2 cars just for the hell of it and go out. To dinner and buy whatever they want and buy loads of shxt just bc they feel like it. Am I just jealous of his family or do I have a reason to be annoyed at his dad scamming the system [in my eyes]. I can't even get along wit him sometimes bc of it. In some ways I hate his family

I hate it as well when people abuse the system. It makes me sick because it is supposed to be there to help people in need, not support people who have the means to support themselves. If I were you, I'd be annoyed too. People with everything handed to them in life rarely appreciate what they have. I think I'd be the same as you if I were in your shoes.
