Am I a pawn or a king in her game? Or just a convenient buddy when she wants company?

Question - (20 July 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 21 July 2011)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

So about 2 weeks ago me and my ex that i dated for a few months at the end of last year got back in contact. She likes to smoke with someone, not alone. She texted me at random just saying she wants to smoke and has nobody to smoke with. We have gotten together a couple times since then. no physical contact, past a hug because she had a boyfriend and im not a homewrecker.

Last night she calls me around 3 saying she just got off work and that she is having problems with her boyfriend and she thinks she is single. then she asks me what im doing and then says she has to go.

When we talk we both never lose eye contact. She plays with her earrings and stares at me. Is she interested or am I just a pawn in her game?

To whoever answers thanks in advance for helping this clueless guy out. :)

She might be interested in you, yes, but it also sounds like she's playing a game. Let me explain.

Her relationship probably wasn't all of the sudden rocky when she called and said she thought she was single. Instead, she knew her relationship was going down the tubes, and she thought you'd be a great fall-back. So now that she's single, she'll want to spend more time with you. She's guaranteeing herself a smoke buddy AND a potential boyfriend. It's also possible that her boyfriend broke up with her when he found out she was hanging out with her ex a lot.

My point is that you broke up for a reason, and if you feel like she's playing with you, she probably is. You're not as clueless as you think!
