He has genital herpes and coldsores on his face too. If it's not one, it's the other! And if it's neither of them, I'm on my period! Am I wasting my time with a guy like this? He got genital herpes years ago so it's not as bad as it was, but it's still annoying. We've been together for a year, what does everyone think?

 I'm not a doctor, but you need to be aware of the fact that genital herpes is contagious and, once contracted, will stay with you for the rest of your life. You both should see a doctor and discuss the issue with him/her. If you need sex a lot, this guy might not be the best choice for a lover.
