Help! I always have regular periods and i skipped my first ever one two weeks ago! I went to my local family planning clinic a week after it was due to be tested for pregnancy and it came back negative, they told me to wait a week and go back. I bought two clear blue digital tests, did one a couple of days after the clinic and one just now, two weeks after my skipped period and both have come back negative! Ive been having unprotected sex with my boyfriend for the past seven weeks and ive had all the symptoms of pregnancy, i had a dull ache along my lower abnomen the week my period was due, ive been a lot more hungry when i usually dont eat much at all, had headaches, difficulty sleeping and vivid dreams, loads of the symptoms and still the tests are saying negative! Which makes no sense to me!! what can i do?

Thanks :) I could put a bet on it that i am, i can feel it happening, my bodies changing day by day. I know something weirds happening. My boyfriend however refuses to believe it! He just wont, he doesnt understand how three HPT's can come back negative. I was speaking to one of his friends about it last night, his girlfriend had to take four before it came back positive but she knew all along she was. His friend knows i am too, he understands that a woman just knows and he wouldnt let me drink or smoke last nite cos ím pregnant. My bf still wont believe it, hes still using condoms so he can kid himself that its not happening and he keeps saying things like 'you cant be pregnant, you havent even moved your cat in yet!" lol. he just wont accept it!!

pebble agony auntThat's a really good attitude to have. I'm currently 10 weeks pregnant myself, I got pregnant on the pill and am only 19 but am of the same mindset as you - the baby didn't ask to be concieved so we're going to be the best we can and give it the best life we can. There's allsorts of adventures ahead of us!

I had my first positive test at around 4-5 weeks. I knew I missed a period but my partner and I were moving house at the time so I put it down to stress and didn't really think much about it. After we settled I noticed that my breasts were so so so so so sensitive and so painful and that's what prompted me to do the test.

Keep doing 'em. I really do believe you're pregnant, baby is just making you wait for your confirmation!

Good luck sweetheart :)

My choice would be to keep the baby, even though i know its not right at this time in life, i'm not strong enough to go through a termination and i believe that you live through every other mistake you make so why run away from this one? Its not the innocent babies fault that me and my boyfriend were so irresponsible and i'd much rather be a mother than a murderer!

I've never had a delayed period though, and i doubt it would be delayed by almost three weeks! I've been having sex for the past five years so its not as though its just stopping my periods randomly now...

It really feels like i am!

I keep waking up in the night for cheesy beans lol! i've had difficulty sleeping at night because i need to get up and eat so then i sleep through the day which isn't healthy! I feel pregnant. They say a mothers instinct is alot stronger than any test, and i just feel it there. Its really weird.

My boyfriend said he will support me whichever decision i make but wants me to know that his decision would be to terminate.

pebble agony auntSometimes it can take weeks for the pregnancy hormones in your body to be strong enough to show up on a pregnancy test. They say the tests are 99% accurate but that's only true if you have everything you need for the test to work (enough hormones to show up, correct amount of urine on the test, waiting the right amount of time for a result etc...) - if all those things are in place THEN the test will give you a 99% accurate result. It's all very misleading.

If you've been having unprotected sex for 7 weeks then I'd put a bet on that you were pregnant. If your missed period was 2 weeks ago then you'd be roughly 3-4 weeks pregnant now - still very very early. The only thing you can do is wait, and keep doing the tests. If you're still getting negatives in four weeks time then maybe start to think that your period is delayed for another medical reason. But until then I think it would be wise to act like you are pregnant (cutting out drinking and smoking etc). Because it seems extremely likely you are, it's best to start looking after yourself as soon as possible.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes.

frequent urination, my breasts have gone soft and grown in size and i feel a weird emotional link to my stomach. i'm not trying for a baby nor do i particularly want one, so im not kidding myself this is happening when its not. I just have so many of the symptoms and yet negative tests! I've read online about HCG levels and how they can be too low for a urine sample to pick up, some ladies knew they were pregnant from a blood test but urine tests showed up negative for months! I'm worried i may be the same. I'm going to go to my docs for a blood test next week anyway! xxx

Olivia(Y). agony auntWait abit longer. It sometimes takes time to show up on a test.

If not you might be under stress which is causing your period to stop and giving you headaches.
