Iam 28 years old and the man I love is 51 years old. Iam healthy but he has health problems: crohn's disease, arthritis etc. He has some pain almost everyday. If we were to get married would this be a problem down the road? He is financially stable and retired at age 40.

dapone 1 agony aunthello.

It depends what your motive is toward this guy, if your just there for the money then by all means marry him. his illness will not get any better over time, and he may end up in a wheel chair in the end, so must decide which is best for you, will you be his long term nurse, care for him in every way, fulfill his medical needs, he may require you to care for him 24/7 are you happy with changing his clothes several times a day when he has an accident, giving him his pills over a 24 hour period say every 2/3 hours constantly, day in day out, push him in his wheel chair every time he wants to go out, never having a moment to your self, having to cat nap during the day for a couple hours at a time.

if the answer to this is no, then you should find your self a younger bloke so that you can go out and enjoy your life.

when you are a carer it is the most difficult job in the world, most people cannot hack this type of life, but how we cope i will never know we take it hour by hour.

It really does depend on if you want to give your life and time up to totally commit to the hard and thankless work involved, there are not a lot of places that you can get help from now, the gov has closed a lot of places down due to lack of funding.

you really need to consider if this life is for you, it is a lot harder than you think to be a carer so think it through, there is only down side after downside to this commitment.

I hope this will help you, good luck whatever you decide do.
