After getting over my ex he's came back into my life and I think I'm falling in love with him again!

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

2 years ago, I split up with my boyfriend because he told me he loved my best friend. I was only 15 at the time, but I was devastated, and the break up caused me to become very ill (I ended up going to counselling because I became anorexic/bulimic...).

Just recently, I've come to the knowledge that I am over him, and have started seeing a lad, but we're not officially going out yet. But me and my ex got back in contact, and when I met up with him last night, we ended up kissing each other, and confessing we have missed each other, and love each other etc etc. Now I don't know what to do. My ex is off to uni this year, and so he doesn't think there is much point in us being together again, but we both love each other so much. How do I decide what to do in a situation like this? Do I just give up all hope now?

Thank you for your brilliant advice - I can only apologise for it taking so long to reply to you! I took your advice, and have moved on, with the idea of taking a break from lads right now, altogether! Me and the lad I was seeing called it off, because we weren't seeing each other enough, and now, I'm happy with my current situation =]

Royofthe Rovers agony auntI would forget about him. It seems you have overcome alot to deal with the intial split and even tho you may still have feelings for him, you don't want to jeapordise your health. He does'nt have the same commitment you would have and therefore will only end in you feeling let down again. If it was meant to be he would have his heart in it. Try and put him out your mind and start things anew, whether it be the lad your just seeing or just get on with your life. Its gonna be hard.

Your own personal health is and should be your main concern. If he leaves you again for someone else while you have a long distance relationship what is that going to do to you??
