writes:hi, iv just moved thousands of miles with my family from at the time my best friend. we had discussed that we had feelings for each other before i left which made my move awful. but we came to a conclusion that we both loved each other and that we would see each other long distance. I was delighted. however he didnt inform me that only a few weeks ago he was a tad friendly with one of my friends. I only found out by accident and because he had been drinking. I need advice what do i do? hes going to university in september should i trust him?

reader, anonymous, writes (9 August 2010): What he did before you two decided to have a relationship is not really the point. He may not have seen a future for you two at the time. What matters is what he does now, and more importantly what you do now. You need to give him a chance, you need to trust him with all your heart if you really love him to give this long distance love a chance. Long distance love is dead in the water without trust... and it's damn hard.
