Our friendship deepened and we became intimate. The big problem was that he is 50 and I am a young looking 69. I own my own publishing business and am very physically active. After falling in love with him, and he has given every indication of feeling the same way, out of the blue he now says he just wants to be friends. That he is waiting for a woman near his own age to marry and spend the rest of his life with. He didn't seem to think that this would be a problem! I have broken it off as it's just too hard for me to 'change horses in mid stream. Was he expecting too much of me? And do you think I did the right thing. I'd appreciate your advise Reply to this Question Share |

I'd say you did the right thing. It sounds like your relationship is pretty much over.
