If you're having trouble looking for places that are hiring, you should check out craigslist. Though the person before me is right, with the economy, most of the positions on there are very hard to land. Just go around places, and ask if they're hiring. Even if they're not, I'm pretty sure you can fill out applications anyway. And if they are, call back after handing in your application. Oh, and make a resume, even if you don't have job experience. If you don't know how, google it. I mean, you can write anything you feel they need to know. How many words per minute you can type, how many languages you know, computer software you can operate, what awards you received in high school... and don't forget to change the objective to fit your job description. Let them know if you're good with people, detail oriented, hard working, flexible. I don't know what else I can tell you about finding a job. Just sell yourself, I guess. If you land an interview, be confident, let them know why hiring you is a good idea. Good luck.

You're going to have to go entry level that pretty much anyone can do. However, let me advise you that the economy is REALLY bad right now, and even well qualified people are having a hard time finding a job right now. So you'll probably have to start low on the totem pole, like a fast food chain, or try being a host at a restaurant. Retail and anything sales isn't doing too well right now, and a lot of the time they want someone with some experience. Food industry places, you often need to ask to speak to the manager. A good tip I received in the past was: when you go get your application, ask what the manager's name is at each place. Go home, fill out the applications, then the next day ask if you can speak to the manager by name. Just be confident and happy. Let them know that you don't have any experience, but you're willing to work hard and that you are willing to step up and be a TEAM PLAYER. They are always looking for positive people. Don't forget to smile :)
